What if someone were to simplify the main branches of philosophy into one pyramid, that could act as a little reminder of how philosophy can help every day, in work, rest and play?

Philosophy. It's hard work isn't it?

Isn't philosophy dead anyway? (said by a physicist who also happens to be dead).

At a time when it appears everyone is losing their collective head and basic human decency feels scarce, philosophy is still there to help with the way.

There are hundreds of philosophies in the world today and most of them are useful, but not exactly accessible. Most often, a person might align to a school of philosophy to abide by, helping inform their inquiry and reflection.

Maslow was important for his influential theories on human motivation, especially his "Hierarchy of Needs," which is a foundational concept in psychology and management. He shifted the focus of psychology from studying deficits to understanding growth and positive attributes, making him a father of positive and humanistic psychology.

Maslow's hierarchy is simple, orderly and intuitive. Widely known and considered to be of great practical value. It is flawed, particularly bias toward Western [masculine] values and lack of empirical evidence, but the framework will not lead to harm for anyone.

What if a similarly simple, orderly, intuitive hierarchy could be assembled in philsophy? One that includes thinking from West and East? Madness I hear you cry.

Well, I tried anyway.
